How can I update the BIOS or BMC firmware?

A

Updates can be performed via the BMC WebUI or IPMI tools. Please follow the official firmware package and instructions to ensure power stability.

What types of processors and memory are supported?

A

Our server platforms support the latest generation Intel® Xeon® and AMD EPYC™ processors, and DDR5 ECC Registered DIMM. Please refer to the product specification page for maximum capacity and supported frequency.

What Memory Modules / CPU Models / PCIe Cards / HDD / M.2 SSD are supported on AIC products?

A

Refer to each product's AVL (Approved Vendor List) on its product page.

How can I enter the BIOS setup?

A

Press the <Del>, <F2>, or <ESC> key when the vendor logo appears on the POST screen during boot-up to enter the BIOS interface.

How can I access the BMC / IPMI Web interface?

A

Connect the management network cable to the BMC port. The default is DHCP login. For JBOD products, the default IP is 192.168.11.11, and the default username/password is admin / admin. Please change the password immediately after logging in.

What does “Power Redundancy Lost” mean?

A

This message indicates that one of the power supplies in the redundant power module is not outputting correctly or has been unplugged. Please confirm both power supplies are plugged in and powered on.

How can I export the System Event Log (SEL)?

A

Downloadable by using the "System Event Log" function in the IPMI WebUI, or executing the command line tool: ipmiutil sel -v sel.log

Is it normal that the fan speed is high during boot-up?

A

Yes. Initially, during system startup, fans run at full speed to ensure thermal safety. Once the BMC is initialized and sensor data is acquired, the fan speed will automatically adjust to the default setting.

What should I check if the system cannot power on?

A

Please check the following steps: 1. Check if the power cord and PSU indicator lights are normal. 2. Confirm if the 5VSB light on the motherboard is lit. 3. Remove unnecessary cards or modules and try powering on again. If it still fails, please contact technical support.

How to clear CMOS?

A

Remove the motherboard battery for 5 seconds, then reinstall. Refer to the user manual (downloadable from product webpage) for detailed processes.

Why does the system show “Boot type changed from Legacy to Dual”?

A

The CMOS battery voltage is low (below 2.7V). Please replace the battery.

How to find the serial number?

A

Each AIC product has a unique serial number sticker on the chassis, motherboard, or backplane.

How can I request an RMA service?

Please submit the request through RMA page, providing the product serial number, failure description, and relevant photos. Our RMA team will respond within 1–2 business days.

What is the standard warranty period?

A

Three (3) years from invoice date unless otherwise specified.
