The default BMC user name and password are both admin.

A

The BMC IP address default setting is DHCP. The BMC IP address can be set up in BIOS BMC configuration. Users can choose to set the BMC IP as DHCP or Static IP.

10GbE NIC, PCIe NTB or SAS links between nodes are used for communication and failover; also can be used for heartbeat or data transmission.

NTB and 10GbE NIC are optional products; please contact with AIC for further information. To set it up, please refer to the hardware application in user manual.

According to hardware design, the bottom node refers to primary node which can detect SAS/SATA drives; and the upper node is the secondary node which can only detect SAS drives. Therefore, it is recommended to use SAS drives for the "HA" function.

BBU is an optional product. Please contact with AIC for further information. To update specific BMC firmware for BBU functions, please contact with AIC FAE. (aicfae@aicipc.com.tw)

To connect AIC NVMe backplane, please use 2* AIC SAS cables (G3-000000500_A01) to connect 4*U.2 connectors on the backplane. For detail installation and cable specification, please contact with AICFAE@aicipc.com.tw for more information.

If the system stuck at booting with RAID controller installed, mostly, the RAID controller’s BIOS and Firmware are too old to compatible with the URSA motherboard. It is recommended to update the controller’s BIOS and Firmware first before installing on the system. To update the BIOS and Firmware of the RAID controller, please visit the controller's official website for instruction.

For users encounter such message while booting on AIC motherboards, it is due to the CMOS battery capacity is low to cause BIOS subject to return to default Dual Boot Type; however, the premise is the BIOS boot type has manually changed to Legacy boot mode or UEFI boot mode only.

It is recommend to check and measure the CMOS battery voltage and replace the CMOS battery if battery voltage is in low state. Normally, the CMOS battery voltage under 2.7V is considered low power.
