AIC and Seagate hold live demonstrations of SAS/SATA products in booth# Hall 21, C22 (K01)
City of Industry, CA - March 3, 2008 - AIC-PSG, an industry leading designer and manufacturer of rackmount server and data storage enclosure solutions, will introduce its new MAX I/O(TM) technology as well as showcase their innovative SAS product line and PSG motherboards at the
2008 CeBIT show in Hannover, Germany, from March 4-6, in Hall 21, C22, (K01).
AIC-PSG brings its latest technology breakthrough to the industry. The flexible MAX I/O technology utilizes PCI Express directly at the source - Intel's MCH (Memory Controller Hub), eliminating the need for expensive switches. MAX I/O enables the user to select how to manage the PCI Express, without the need for additional cost and engineering, by providing support to manage PCI Express lanes individually (x4 lane increments) or as a group (2 or more increments). Users are able to select what level of I/O expansion they wish by choosing one of many risers that will fill their rackmount IO expansion requirement. With MAX I/O, the decision on how to use the PCI Express is in the hands of the user, rather than limited by the board itself.
In addition, Seagate once again partners up with AIC to conduct live demonstrations of Enterprise, SMB and SOHO level SAS/SATA JBOD subsystems. To showcase SAS upstream/downstream configuration, Seagate's Cheetah 15K.5, Savvio 15K and Barracuda ES2 high quality drives will be populated to AIC SAS storage subsystem - XJ-SA12-005 (5-bay SAS/SATA JBOD tower) and daisy-chained to XJ-SA01-004-A (4-bay 3.5-inch SAS/SATA JBOD) and XJ-SA01-008-A (8-bay SFF 2.5-inch SAS/SATA JBOD). AIC will also be exhibiting their Aries UP3210-P and Aquarius DP5100-MIO PSG motherboards at the booth.
"We are very excited to be showcasing our revolutionary MAX I/O technology at this year's CeBIT," said Gene Lee, Vice President of Advanced Industrial Computer, Inc. (AIC). "The CeBIT show provides an ideal opportunity to connect with the industry and introduce this innovation to the market."
"Seagate's enterprise solutions are designed to fulfill a range of needs, from the CHEETAH 15K.5 and SAVVIO 15K hard drive families delivering the highest levels of storage I/O performance and reliability, to the BARRACUDA ES2 providing record-breaking capacity," said Sherman Black, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Seagate's Enterprise Compute business. "AIC-PSG offers a compelling range of quality solutions for its customers and we are proud to join them in these demonstrations that showcase our solutions working together seamlessly."
